Newsletter Description and Purpose:

IB Monthly is an idea-sharing and information-providing platform based on respect, cooperation, and support, striving to build a closely linked school community. It is a student-run project, creating a safe place where ideas are free to flow, students can exert their unlimited creativity, and frequent interaction between all students of different ages and classes are valued and encouraged. A monthly theme (related to community-based or global news) will also be set for each monthly edition, so that the newsletter can systematically organize and connect each article to a core topic while simultaneously enriching and broadening students’ world view.

Mission Statement

IB Monthly is a platform dedicated to and entirely for the students of Dayuan International Senior High School (DYSH). We seek to report on events and information relevant to the DYSH community, and we aim to encourage the exchange of ideas within our school. To maintain the quality of the paper, IB Monthly is rigorous in its fact-checking procedure, strict in its zero-plagiarism policy, and we intend to respectfully display works with full credits to the creator and author. It is our ultimate goal to expand IB Monthly above and beyond the international International Baccalaureate department of DYSH, and through ethical, professional, and responsible means, we endeavor to push beyond our limits.

Finally, as we have the responsibility to maintain and protect this respectful platform, we'd like to emphasize the importance of the International Baccalaureate mission statement once more. IB Monthly makes it our top priority to encourage fellow students to "become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right" (International Baccalaureate Organization, 2022).
